Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing, by default. Wzdom Privacy records network events to an encrypted local database on your computer. This database never leaves your device. The encryption key is derived locally and never transmitted anywhere.

We have no user accounts, no analytics pipeline, and no way to associate any data with any individual person — because we never receive any data in the first place.

Optional features that use the network

Threat intelligence updates: If enabled (on by default), the app fetches updated threat definitions from public sources — DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar, Disconnect.me, and others — once every 24 hours. These are outbound requests to public servers. No personal data is transmitted. The request contains no identifier that could be linked to you.

Crash reporting: If enabled, anonymised crash reports containing only technical diagnostic data — stack traces and OS version — are sent to our error reporting service. This feature is off by default. You must explicitly enable it in settings.

Email notifications — Wzdom Privacy: If you voluntarily provide your email address during the Wzdom Privacy download flow or sign up for AI privacy research updates, it is stored in our Wzdom Privacy subscriber database and used only to send you Wzdom Privacy product updates and, if applicable, AI privacy research digests. We do not share it, sell it, or use it for advertising. You can request deletion at any time by emailing info@wzdom.ai.

Email notifications — Wzdom OS: If you register your interest in Wzdom OS via the waitlist on the Wzdom OS page, your email is stored in a separate Wzdom OS interest database. This list is entirely separate from the Wzdom Privacy subscriber database. It is used only to notify you when Wzdom OS becomes available. It is not used for any other purpose. You can request deletion at any time by emailing info@wzdom.ai.

AI analysis

All AI analysis in Wzdom Privacy runs locally on your device using on-device models. No network traffic data, no connection records, and no personal information is sent to any external AI service as part of normal operation.

If you choose to use the optional Ask Wzdom assistant feature and provide your own API key for a third-party AI service, your questions go directly from your device to the provider you select — under their privacy policy. Wzdom does not intermediate, log, or retain any part of those conversations.

Your rights

Because Wzdom stores no personal data on any server, most rights under CCPA, GDPR, and similar laws are satisfied by design rather than by process. Specifically:

• Right of access: Your data is on your device. Open the app to see it.
• Right to deletion: Use the Wipe Data function in settings, or delete the Wzdom database folder from your file system.
• Right to portability: Use the Export function to download all your data in a standard format.
• Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell data. There is nothing to opt out of.

For email addresses stored in either the Wzdom Privacy subscriber list or the Wzdom OS interest list: contact info@wzdom.ai to request deletion and we will process it within 7 days. Please indicate which list (or both) you wish to be removed from.

Children

Wzdom products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify users through the app. The most current version is always at wzdom.ai/privacy.html.
